Your Team (0/6)
Pokémon Team Builder with Type Coverage
Build your team two ways: search for specific Pokémon by name and add them manually, or use the random fill to generate slots instantly from a filtered pool. Both approaches give you the same result — a team with real-time type coverage analysis showing exactly where your team is weak and what types you hit super-effectively.
Filter the pool by generation, type, and legendary status before generating. Once your team is complete, export it to Pokémon Showdown format in one click.
Real-Time Type Coverage Analysis
As you add Pokémon to your team, the type coverage panel updates automatically. It shows which types hit two or more of your team members super-effectively (your defensive weak points), and which of the 18 types your team can cover offensively. This lets you spot gaps and adjust your roster before you commit to a build.
Type coverage appears as soon as you have 2 or more Pokémon. Red means 3+ team members are weak to that type — a critical hole. Orange means 2 members are weak. The offensive coverage count shows how many types your team can hit for super-effective damage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I generate a random Pokémon team?
Click the Team button to generate a random team of 1–6 Pokémon instantly. Use the − and + controls to set how many Pokémon you want. You can also spin one at a time with SPIN! and add each to your team manually.
Can I generate a random team for a specific generation?
Yes. Open Filters and select a generation (Gen 1–9). The team generator will only pick from that generation's pool. You can combine multiple generations too.
How do I export my random team to Pokémon Showdown?
Once your team is built, click Copy Showdown in the Your Team section. Then open Pokémon Showdown → Teambuilder → Import/Export, paste the text, and save. Your random team is ready to battle.
Can I generate a random mono-type team?
Yes. Open Filters and select a single type — the generator will only pick Pokémon of that type. Or try the Type Roulette to spin for a random type first, then build your mono-type team.
Can I exclude legendary Pokémon from the team generator?
Yes. Open Filters and uncheck Legendaries or Mythicals. Use "Fully Evolved Only" to further restrict the pool to fully evolved Pokémon — ideal for standard competitive formats.
How is this different from Pokémon Showdown's random battle?
Showdown's random battle assigns random moves and items. Our generator picks the Pokémon randomly — you then add your own moves, items, and EVs in the Showdown teambuilder. You control the build; we pick the roster.
Can I manually choose my team instead of generating randomly?
Yes. Use the search bar to find and add any specific Pokémon by name. You can build your entire team manually, or add some Pokémon manually and fill the remaining slots randomly. Type coverage updates in real time as you add each member.
